then, connect

Should you decide to schedule a visit, please anticipate for an initial intake lasting 60-90 minutes, depending on your needs. You will receive initial forms to be completed prior to the first appointment.
Partners, family members, and other significant people in your life are welcome to join. For adolescents, the first appointment involves a joint interview and then separate caregiver and adolescent discussions during the session and as comfort allows.
Subsequent follow up sessions are scheduled for 50 minutes and will continue to reassess progress and goals with flexibility on frequency and duration of treatment.
Dr. Karvounides currently offers telehealth services only, however in-person options will be available soon.
payment
In order to provide optimal care, Dr. Karvounides keeps her practice small, therefore, she has opted out of private insurance and is not a member of insurance panels at this time.
Payment is due at each session by credit card through a confidential platform. Superbills (receipts) are available upon request and may be submitted to your insurance company for reimbursement.

GOOD FAITH ESTIMATE: Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the expected charges for medical services, including psychotherapy services. You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency healthcare services, including psychotherapy services. You can ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service, or at any time during treatment. I will provide you with Good Faith Estimate upon initiating therapy. If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate. I will also keep a copy in my secure records. For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, or how to dispute a bill, see your Estimate, or visit WWW.CMS.GOV/NOSURPRISES.
